What We Install
- 5″ K-style aluminum — the standard residential gutter. Fits most Jackson homes, handles typical rainfall, available in 30+ baked-on enamel colors.
- 6″ K-style aluminum — oversized for homes with large roof surface area, multi-story homes, or homes that have had overflow problems. Better choice than 5″ in many cases.
- Half-round aluminum — classic curved profile, often paired with round downspouts for a more architectural look
- Steel gutters — heavier-duty option, often for commercial or where aluminum has been damaged repeatedly
- Copper half-round — premium architectural choice, develops a natural patina over years, lasts 50+ years
- Replacement — tear off old, fascia repair if needed, new seamless install
- New construction — coordinate with the roofer or GC on timing and rough-in
What “Seamless” Actually Means
Sectional gutter comes in 10-foot pieces that you join end-to-end with sealed seams — cheap, fast, and full of failure points. Seamless gutter is one continuous piece per run, formed at your house by a truck-mounted roll-former. The only seams are at corners (which we miter-cut and seal) and end caps. Result: fewer leak points, cleaner straight runs, and a noticeably better appearance from the street.
Why Pitch and Hangers Matter
The two things that separate a good gutter install from a bad one:
- Pitch toward downspouts — typically 1/4 inch per 10 feet. Too flat and water pools and overflows; too steep and it looks wrong and runs too fast.
- Hidden hangers spaced correctly — every 24–32 inches depending on rainfall. Skimp on hangers and the gutter sags in a year, especially under ice or wet leaves.
- Properly attached to the fascia — into solid wood, with screws (not nails) that hold under load
- End caps and corners properly sealed — the small details that prevent the leak that wasn’t there at install but shows up after the first heavy rain
Downspouts — Equally Important
Standard residential downspouts are 2″×3″ or 3″×4″. The bigger ones handle more flow before backing up — we recommend 3″×4″ on most Jackson homes. Downspout count matters more than people think: too few downspouts on a long gutter run and the gutter overflows at the middle. We size and place downspouts based on the actual roof area feeding each run.
Colors & Aesthetic Decisions
Aluminum gutters come in 30+ baked-on enamel colors. Most popular in Jackson: white, almond, brown, bronze, and black. We bring a color sample card so you can match the trim, fascia, or shutters. Color is a baked-on finish, not paint, so it doesn’t peel.
How We Price Seamless Gutters
Linear-foot pricing with line items for downspouts, corners, end caps, color (a couple of premium colors cost more), removal of existing, and any unusual access requirements. We give a written quote after measuring your roofline. Here’s how our quotes work.
